This piece is a tribute to Rupert Hine, my dear friend and mentor and a Patron of the Songwriting Charity. He was a remarkable artist, producer and human being whose wisdom and encouragement shaped so much of who I am, musically and personally. My composition, “Hinesight”, isn’t about words, it’s about the feelings Rupert inspired in me: curiosity, courage, and the belief that music can be both playful and profound. Writing it was a way of reflecting on his influence, and of saying “thank you” through the spiritual language of sound and music.
