It’s always lovely to share something special with you and Rupert’s birthday is a great reason. So...a rarity, a piece recently discovered that he produced - and possibly wrote or co-wrote, we are not entirely sure: Released 8th March 1974, No Time for Punting (R.Hine) Whistling Jack Smith* The A side is Love Theme from “The Battle of Waterloo” (Bounty). In addition there’s a Spin 1ne 2wo CD being given away, chosen because it is special year for Paul Carrack, celebrating 50 years of How Long with his tour and new album, How Long (Has This Been Going On) Greatest Hits, which was released on 23rd August. And, the chance to own a sample single from Rupert’s music studio of the track “Misplaced Love” which has carefully been dusted off and made ready to send! It was recorded and released in 1967 and was performed by various studio musicians, including John O'Neill of the Mike Sammes Singers, who did the whistling.
