On 5th December 2015 an array of musical talent, music associates, friends and family gathered at Metropolis Studios, London, to celebrate Rupert’s 50th year in the music business.
On 5th December 1965, the UK No.1 song was "I Feel Fine" by the Beatles, in the USA it was "Turn, Turn, Turn" by the the Byrds and Rupert Hine - as one half of Rupert & David (MacIver) - was recording his first single, Paul Simon’s “Sound of Silence”. The rest, as they say, is history.
Rupert's was a journey of many accomplishments setting him apart from so many others in the crazy and unpredictable world that is the business of music; a continuance to discover, support, encourage and develop others, something that spoke volumes about his character and genuine love of creativity. Always inspiring, always encouraging. Throughout his illustrious career, Rupert was supported by "The Curious Kind" - a staunch group of RH supporters who listened, nudged, and commented for many years…and who continue to support his legacy.

"Boy does your life bear looking back upon…you’re still knee deep in the industry..how did you encompass the entire age of British Rock and Roll from its very inception to its end…that’s the arc of a life, an extraordinary life…one entirely dedicated to music and creativity and not just your own…every fibre of your being throbs to some sort of secret musical note that only you have…what a kind man, what a lovely man, what a nice man, what a career, what an artist, what a songwriter, what a profound musician…what an extraordinary musical thing you are…”
