The Ivors celebrate, honour and reward excellence in songwriting and composing. They are presented by BASCA and judged by the writing community. The 59th Ivor Novello Awards took place on Thursday 22 May 2014 at the Grosvenor House, London.
The Mumfords won the International Achievement Award
Sir Tim Rice - presented Christine McVie (singer/songwriter and member Fleetwood Mac) with her Lifetime Achievement Award
American musician, producer, composer, arranger, and guitarist Nile Rogers was honoured, too. He is also lead guitarist and co-founding member with Bernard Edwards of the band Chic ... whose songs include Chic, Le Freak, We are Family, I Want Your Love, Axel F and a squillion more since 1976!
